SUMMARY
Hit Factor is looking for a Senior 3D Artist for one of our unannounced game titles. As a Senior 3D Artist you will have the opportunity to get your hands on every aspect of the art production pipeline. The Senior 3D Artist works closely with the Art Director and Technical Leads to define visual standards and technical specifications of assets for the project, you will create and implement benchmark quality digital artwork meeting the art direction criteria.
The Senior 3D Artist ensures that the creative content of our projects is delivered to the highest standards. In most cases, you collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines to ensure on-time and high-quality achievement of our milestone goals. You set the quality bar and provide artistic, technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to others on how to achieve it.
The team is a highly functioning, agile and small team so you must show abilities in open communication, collaboration, self-awareness and respect to safeguard our creative culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Art Director to refine the look and feel for the project.
- Guarantee visual consistency by understating and following the art style guide.
- Work with Technical Art, Engineering and other artists to develop the art and animation creation and integration pipeline.
- Collaborate with Technical Art to create and improve tools and workflows.
- Completing 3D art assets to a high standard without technical supervision.
- Reviewing of assets to maintain consistent quality level and artist feedback.
- Document and communicate technical specifications and visual guides to support game vision.
- Being completely self-critical in assessing the quality of your output and doing so at every stage of the art creation process.
- Actively participate in milestone planning and reviews.
- Provide mentorship for junior team members.
REQUIREMENTS
- Portfolio demonstrating full environment work (not just props) in both 3D software and game engine covering; modeling, surfacing, texturing and lighting.
- Full proficiency in modern game development software.
- Strong technical knowledge of real-time engine budgets and optimizations.
- Knowledge and expertise of the fundamental art principles (color, composition, value/ lighting, anatomy, form, perspective).
- Iterative and agile approach to visual development.
- A deep artistic toolbox with multiple approaches to visual development and problem solving.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, and concisely to team, peers, and management.
- Able to level up junior artists through coaching and mentoring.
- Comfortable with both giving and receiving constructive criticism.
- Have a passion for games and understand game development processes.
- Professional attitude and work ethic.
- Excellent soft skills and teamwork.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in Unity.

SUMMARY
Hit Factor is looking for a talented Senior Combat Designer to join our growing team. Using your expertise and creativity, you will collaborate across disciplines to create exciting, engaging and fun action combat experiences for our under development titles. A Senior Combat Designer at Hit Factor is expected to have experience working in Combat roles on other projects and can highlight demonstrated successes shepherding Combat-related features from incubation to release in a cross-disciplinary setting.
This role also expects a deep understanding of the mechanics, mathematics and experience of great combat, a strongly collaborative, team-focused spirit, an interest in the potential of NFT and blockchain to enhance gameplay experiences for our players, passion for F2P games, and an active, vibrant interest in playing games as well as making them.
The right candidate is obsessed with games and passionate about the intersection of entertainment, technology, and business. You will work cross-departmentally in order to successfully connect the technical and business sides of product development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver on the creative vision established by the studio GM and Hit Factor’s Design standards by owning the design and implementation of fun, engaging Combat features on a cross-disciplinary team.
- Write and maintain clear, concise design documentation, including responsibility for UI mockups, art requests and baseline technical documentation.
- Serve as a senior expert on Combat design, while also being able to offer insight and support on at least one other Design domains, including systems, content, narrative, or technical design.
- Accurately estimate tasks, anticipate challenges and implement solutions to produce quality gameplay experiences through all stages of production.
- Regularly participate in playtests and offer constructive feedback on feature development across the entirety of the product, and receive feedback in kind.
- Communicate effectively and clearly within and across teams, and to the game community as necessary.
- Ability to prototype and iterate in Unity to adjust and improve existing assets and mechanics.
- Set priorities and goals for your work and the work of the team implementing your Combat Features.
- Some mentoring of junior and staff designers in best practices around Combat design.
- Assess and apply candid, qualitative, and quantitative feedback to improve game design, balance, and promote a culture of creative ownership.
- Willingness to accommodate multiple responsibilities and to adapt to a rapidly changing creative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Six or more (6+) years of professional experience in game design, with at least four (4) of those years in Combat design.
- Educational experience can be included in this requirement with a completed degree.
- Demonstrated success owning at least four (4) features on an in-development or live title, with at least two (2) of those in Combat design.
- At least one (1) demonstrated success in problem-solving and collaboration with designers in other domains (e.g., Systems, Content)
- At least one (1) demonstrated success in resolving challenges blocking development in a cross-disciplinary setting.
- At least one (1) shipped AA+/II+ title on PC, console, or mobile.
REQUIREMENTS
- Thorough knowledge of Combat mechanics and player expectations across three (3) or more game genres
- Experience writing clear and concise specification documents, user flows, and feature documentation.
- Highly experienced in use of common productivity tools (Office/GSuite)
- Experienced with task tracking and project management in an Agile-based development environment
- Experience implementing in Unity or Unreal Engine
- Excellent oral and written communication ability, as well as mathematical and critical thinking skills.
- Able to learn new tools and methodologies quickly
- Avid gamer across genres and platforms
- Knowledge of the current competitive state of various genres
- Passionate about F2P gaming and able to articulate good principles of monetization in F2P games, including what it means to be “F2P-friendly”
- Knowledge of current industry trends in hardware and software
- Excited to explore the gameplay benefits of NFTs and blockchain for our players
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience working in battle arena or action shooter title.
- Experience with military vehicle combat
- Experience supporting a live title.
- Familiarity with specialized design tools, including Photoshop, Figma, Visio, Miro, or Machinations
